What is TEQ3?

TEQ3 (Terra Est Quaestuosa) is a free-to-play, browser-based, massively multiplayer online strategy game. You create a country, gather resources, build armies, trade on a global market, form alliances, and compete against thousands of players across four game servers. Each game round runs for two weeks to a month, and the winner is the country (or team) with the highest overall score.

Is TEQ3 free?

Yes. The core game is free to play. We may offer optional paid features in the future, but you can play and compete fully without spending money.

How do I create an account?

Click "Sign Up" on the main page, choose a username and password, confirm your email address, and you can start playing immediately. You may only maintain one account.

How does a game round work?

Each server runs rounds of 14 days to one month. You start with neutral turns (a protection period for new countries), then begin gathering resources, building infrastructure, training military, and interacting with other players. Turns regenerate over time, and the round ends on a fixed date with final rankings published.

What are the different servers?

  • Team Server — month-long rounds, organized team play.
  • Group Server — month-long rounds, alliance-driven politics.
  • Tournament Server — competitive month-long round with extra rules.
  • Express Server — fast 14-day round, ideal for trying out new strategies.

Do I have to play every day?

No. Turns accumulate while you’re offline up to a maximum (typically 150 turns stored). You can play in short sessions every day or longer sessions a few times a week. Many top players spend 20–30 minutes per day.

Can I play on mobile?

TEQ3 runs in any modern web browser. The legacy interface is optimized for desktop; a mobile-friendly version is being rolled out as part of the ongoing modernization.

Are bots allowed?

No. Pre-calculation tools and spreadsheets are fine, but automated scripts that take in-game actions are forbidden and will result in account bans. See the for details.

Can I have more than one country?

You may have one country per server, but only one game account in total. Creating multiple accounts to gain an in-game advantage is grounds for permanent ban.

What happens if I’m attacked while I sleep?

Every new country starts with neutral turns that protect it from attack. After that, you have to rely on diplomacy, defensive military, alliances, and game mechanics like a fortified position. Most successful players form alliances early.

How do alliances work?

Players can form teams (on the Team Server) or informal alliances (on Group and Tournament). Teams share scoring; alliances coordinate diplomacy and attacks but score individually. Politics is a major part of the game.

What is the Early Access Program?

EAP is an opt-in program that lets you preview new Blazor-based features before they roll out to everyone. Enrolled players see Beta links in the main page navigation. You can opt in from once logged in.

Who runs TEQ3?

PGMS Inc., a small Canadian studio led by Philippe Grandmont (Pvt Vandals). PGMS took over from Schoot Digital Productions, the original team behind TEQ since 1999. See for the full story.

I forgot my password. What now?

Use the password reset link on the login form. If you no longer have access to the email address on file, contact from a verifiable channel and we’ll help recover access.

How do I report a player breaking the rules?

Send a detailed report to including the player name, the server, what happened, and any evidence (screenshots, message IDs). Game coordinators investigate every serious accusation.

I think I was banned unfairly. What can I do?

Email explaining your situation honestly. We review appeals and reverse bans if the evidence supports it.

Will I lose my country when the round ends?

No data is deleted at round end — your account, history, and ranking are preserved. A new country is created at the start of each new round; legacy rankings remain available at .

Does TEQ3 work in my language?

The interface is being made available in English and French. Other languages may be added over time. The community forum is mostly English-speaking.
